Almost couldn’t remember how exhausting being a new mom can be until i became one again lately.
Although I am super blessed with godma around to look after Nellie, i still have to live a life as a cow to provide the best nutrient for my baby. And that means nursing and pumping almost around the clock. That guarantees backache, arm aches and neck pain.
The good people from The Outcall Spa reach out to me for a rewarding home spa session. Can’t think of any reason to say no because I LOVE having massage. But i no longer have the luxury of going for one ever since I had Noah because you know, mama duties come first. With Nellie came along, it’s almost impossible to even step out of the house without her.
So can you imagine my joy to know that I can have spa treatment right at my door step, in the comfort of my bedroom? BAK SAI LAU PLEASE. I thought I can only dream of something like this to happen. Lol
My first impression for The Outcall Spa is great. They are very punctual and came over right on time. The team consist of a therapist and a guy who came with a portable bed. He also help to set up the bed in my room and lay the beddings nicely. Super professional looking lo!
My therapist, Joanne, lay out 3 different kinds of oil for me to choose from.
They are grape seed oil, lemongrass and lavender. Grapeseed oil is specially for people with sensitive skin. Lemongrass is revitalizing for the body and mind. I picked Lavender because i always love the smell of lavender and it helps with stress relieve which is perfect for me.
The therapist started the session by doing dry massage on my calves and work up towards my shoulder. After which she used the lavender oil which I have chosen.
Throughout the whole session, Joanne check with me if I am okie with her strength. We had some small talks but most of the time I had my eyes shut and feeling like I’m actually at a spa resort instead of being at home. ?
There is this little device that Joanne brought along which plays spa music with water trickling sound. It really helps to keep me relaxed and almost putting me to sleep.
The whole session lasted for 90 minutes but it doesn’t felt that long because I was super enjoying it. ? almost didn’t want the session to be over!
After the massage, Joanne passed me a cup of warm ginger tea. Felt so good after drinking it because it keeps my tummy warm. Almost wanted to ask if I can have a refill. Hahahaha
The Outcall Spa doesn’t only provide home massage service. They do pre and postnatal massage, manicure and slimming spa package too!
